hello everyone. I went to a glass show on Sat. It was held at the local firehouse this weekend, they were showcasing Heisey Glass. I'd never heard of it before but I thought it was lovely Here is some history about the glass

This are super, Lilly. I got a whole new appreciation of this art after going through the Waterford Crystal Factory in Ireland. They gave us a tour behind the scenes so we could see the glassblowers and cutters at work. I think there's like an eight year apprenticeship before you're a master cutter. They make it look easy when it's anything but.

Beautiful. I went to a similar one several years ago.
ReplyDeleteAll the pieces in the show were for sale. Some were rather pricey. These pieces are made with molds so they are not blown glass. It was all very beautiful
