Flash 34: Making it Better

Well it's that time again.  Flash day.

Flash 34: The prompts for this week are:

This week we have received our prompts from Prompt Diva Chris Quinton:

"...but it's turning green!"

Or use these words:  butterfly-effect; bombshell; clouded

Ryssa, our generous benefactor, as provided us with this alternative:

"I was expecting you to kiss me weeks ago."

Making it better- by Lily Sawyer

One of the things about being in a relationship is you get to know the strengths and weaknesses of each partner.

Some are better at cooking and keeping a home and the other is more adept at repairs and maintenance.

Well the latter describes my partner to a ‘T’ at least I thought it did.   I love cooking so I’m usually the one making the meals.  Although Tom is the ‘official’ grill master when it comes to outdoor cooking.

So, anyway, like I was saying he is the repairman, except for changing the light bulbs I leave all repairs to him.    He knows what he’s doing; he learned everything from his dad.  His father is a handyman, has been one ever since he left the construction business to start his own home repair company.

So you’d think Tom knows all about being careful, safety, etc.

“Ben!”   Normally Ben loved the sounds of Tom’s voice, but not when he was whining like a little boy.   Tom was installing some much needed shelves in their office when the hammer he was using slipped out of his hand and landed on his foot.    Why Tom was wearing sandals at the time is beyond him.

“What is it Tom?”   He’d rushed into the living room where Tom was lying with his foot propped up on a pillow and an ice pack pressed against the injury.

“Look.”   Ben looked at the foot in question.  They’d already been to the urgent care place earlier and luckily nothing was broken.  They’d been given instructions on how to care for the foot.

“What?”  Ben looked at Tom’s injured foot and noticed some slight swelling.  “It’s swelled, we knew that was going to happen.”

“But it’s turning green!”   He pointed at his foot.

He loved Tom with all his heart; he was a brave fire fighter, running into a burning building when everyone else is getting out.   He got awards for bravery a few times.   So Ben couldn’t help laughing and shaking his head when Tom started acting like a little boy.

“What’s so funny?”  Tom looked up at him, his lips pouting.

Ben sat down next to Tom, pushing the bigger man with his hips to get him to make room.   “You are, you’re so funny.  You’re brave, I love you, but you’re a baby.”

“A baby!”  The surprised look on Tom’s face made Ben lean over and kiss him.

“Yep, a baby, my baby.”  He kissed him again, their tongues probing each other’s mouths.   Tom started to move to his side

“Ow!”  His foot complained about the movement.

“Sit still, I’ll get a fresh ice pack for you and some Advil.”

Ben went to the kitchen and came back with the objects he mentioned.    “How about we move this to the bedroom?”

“Why Ben, are you trying to seduce me?”  Tom smiled.

“Yep, is it working?”  Ben helped Tom up and they hobbled to the bedroom.

“I’m not sure, how about we get in bed and find out.”

Tom was too sore to really do much more than snuggle for now.  But that was more than enough for either man.

“Sorry about not being able to do more.”   Tom apologized.

“Shhhh, I’m enjoying wrapping my arms around my man.”

“Oh yeah?”  Tom had his injured foot elevated on a pillow, with ice on it; he leaned his head on Ben’s chest and sighed.

“Yep.  Love you.”

“Love you too.”

They fell asleep in each other’s arms.

“Hey, there’s a flower show at the coliseum this weekend. Do you want to go with me?”

“Yeah, I’d love to. How about if I come by and pick you up?”

“Sure.” Sam gave Matt his address.  “How about you come by around nine on Saturday? I’ll make us breakfast and then we can go on over to the show.”

“Sounds like a plan. I’ll see you then.”

He felt like maybe this was a mistake.  But maybe it was time for him to give love another chance.

The Truth Will Out-by Lily Sawyer

Ben definitely thought this was not a good idea; he should stick to the original plan.   Go on back to the office and give Natalie the information she needed.     Yes that is exactly what he was going to do.  How could he even think for one minute that Tom would be cheating on him?   It’s like believing the sun wasn’t going to shine tomorrow.

He turned around marched to the front door and froze when he heard voices coming from outside, one of them Tom’s.    He didn’t want to have to explain as to why he was home and why his car wasn’t parked outside.   ‘Damn he knew he shouldn’t have let jealousy rule his brain.’

He had to hide, but where?   He quickly looked around the room and ran into the kitchen.

“Come on in Larry,” Ben could hear Tom’s distinct footsteps enter the hallway and another set of footsteps pounded on the hardwood floors.

Ben heard the steps coming closer to the kitchen; he quickly hid in the walk in pantry and put his ear up to the door.

“Are you sure your partner isn’t home, I don’t want to be caught.”

“No he’s at work, I saw him leave this morning, and he won’t be back for hours.”

‘How long have you been planning this Tom,’ Ben thought to himself.   His heart felt like it was being torn from his chest.  He couldn’t believe his lover and best friend was cheating on him.

“Did you bring all your stuff with you?”   Ben could hear Tom’s voice.   What did he mean by stuff? Like sex toys?  Ben’s wild imagination was taking over.   He wondered how long it would be before Tom moved things to the bedroom.  Maybe Larry was into the kinky stuff that he wasn’t into.  Maybe Tom wasn’t satisfied with him anymore and was looking for something on the side to excite him.

“Oh yeah I have everything.”

“Let’s go upstairs and I’ll show you around.”

Show him around! Is this what I meant to you?

Ben’s heart was breaking into a million pieces as he heard the other two men trudge up the stairs.   He slowly opened the pantry door and wandered into the kitchen.   He looked at their home like he was looking at it the first time.

He walked towards the front door like a zombie, he felt so numb.  As he reached to turn the knob he heard laughter coming from the bedroom, the bedroom he shared with Tom for the past four years.   ‘Four years!’  Shouldn’t that count for something?    He looked up the stairs and with some resolve he climbed up the steps.

He felt like he was acting out a scene from “Dead Man Walking” He reached the top of the stairs and looked at the doorway at the end where the master bedroom was located.    He took a deep breath and marched in like a man on a mission.

“How could you?”  He glared at the two men who were sitting on the bed.

“Ben!”  Tom quickly stood up. “What are you doing home?”

“Never mind that, what is HE,” he pointed to the stranger that had been sitting on their bed.  “Doing here?”

“Now, Ben, don’t jump to any conclusions.”

“You mean like maybe you found a replacement for me?”

“Maybe I better go.”  Larry stood watching the couple arguing.

“No, wait, Larry.  I think Ben needs to know how he spoiled the surprise.”

“Surprise?”  Ben’s mouth had dropped open.  When the red haze of angry finally dissipated and the green-eyed monster, aka jealousy, disappeared he finally noticed sample books lying across the queen-sized bed.

“Yeah, Ben, for your information I was planning on redoing our bedroom and getting a Jacuzzi soaker tub you’ve been wanting ever since we moved in here.  Larry is a friend of my sister’s, he did the work on her place.”

“I didn’t know.”

“Yeah you didn’t know; that was the point.  I know you’re birthday is coming up and I thought I’d surprise you.”

“How about I come back another time and we can go over the samples together?”  Larry suggested as he gathered up his things.

“Yeah, I think that would be a good idea.  Thanks for coming over.”   Tom showed Larry out and Ben could hear some words exchanged at the bottom of the stairs but he was so embarrassed and upset with himself he didn’t pay attention to what was said.    He plopped down on the bed and put his face in his hands.  He could hear the sound of footsteps coming back up the stairs and he wished a hole would open up and swallow him.

“You mind telling me what that was all about?”  Tom sat down on the bed next to him.   “Where is your car? What are you doing home?”

“I forgot the key to my office so I came back here.”

“And where is your car?”

“It’s parked around the corner.”

“Well I listened to the message Larry left on the machine, he said he wanted to make sure I was at work and.” Ben shrugged and looked down at the floor, unable to meet Tom’s eyes.   He felt Tom’s hand on his face and he was forced to look at the man he loved.

“And you thought I was cheating on you?”

Ben would never forget the hurt look in Tom’s eyes for as long as he lived.   “I’m sorry, Tom.   I don’t know what came over me.  I jumped to the wrong conclusions.   I should never have doubted you for even a minute.”

Tom got up off the bed and looked out their bedroom window, looking at their backyard.  There were deer feeding on the grass.    Ben came up behind him and wrapped his arms around him and started to kiss the back of his neck and rubbed his nipples though the sweatshirt Tom wore.

“Will you stop doing that!  I can't concentrate when you're kissing me like that.”  Tom didn’t pull away so Ben was hoping that was an invitation to continue.

“I just wanted to apologize and ask your forgiveness.”  He turned Tom around so they could look each other in the eye.  “I promise to never doubt you again…ever.”     Ben looked earnestly into Tom’s eyes, trying to convince him of his sincerity.

“I could never stay mad at you and you know that!”

They fell into each other’s arms and started to kiss.   Ben’s cell phone went off.

Oh shit I forgot about Natalie,” Ben picked up the phone and told Natalie he had something to take care of and was heading over to the office now.

“Raincheck?”  Ben asked him.

“Yeah, you have some serious making up to do mister!”

“Oh believe me I fully intend to show you just how sorry I am.”   A last kiss and Ben was out the door, a skip in his step and a lesson learned about how some loves are meant to be and he and Tom certainly were meant for each other.

For all the chocoholics out there

I thought I'd post this story I'd written a while back.   If you love chocolate you should love this story

Chocolate Shots
By Lily Sawyer

Glenn Tucker closed down his laptop in frustration. He'd been struggling to find a new job, and he was starting to think it was time for a change when he saw an advertisement for male models. On a whim, he called the number at the bottom listed next to a name.

"Is this Harry Davis?"

"I'm Glenn Tucker. I saw your ad for a male model, and well, I uh--"

"You want to apply? Why don't you come on over? Let me take a look at you, and we can take it from there."

"How about this afternoon at two? You can meet me at my office." Harry gave Glenn his address.

Glenn arrived later at a nondescript warehouse building. "Hello?" he called out, his voice echoing in the large cavernous space.

"Glenn?" Harry's voice echoed back. "I'm back here." He followed the voice to a room in the rear of the warehouse. Harry came close and put his hand on Glenn's chin, looking over his face. Glenn could feel his body responding to the touch.

"You're hired."

"What?" Glenn's mouth dropped open.

"My client has a really specific idea about what he wants for his model, and you're it."

"When do I start?"

"How about right now?" Harry showed Glenn to a room for him to change.

When Glenn came out he saw a mattress on the floor. "Uh, Harry? Are you sure this is what I'm supposed to wear?" Glenn indicated the tight-fitting briefs. "Is this an underwear ad?"

"No, better." Harry brought out some jars.

"What is this?" Glenn picked up a jar that read Erotic City Chocolate Body Paint.

"Body paint?"

"Yes. Don't tell me you've never heard of Erotic City. They deal in adult games and accessories."

"Sex toys?" Glenn asked him.

"Yeah, they deal in that too, but they're not into whips and chains stuff. They're more soft porn, like edible panties and fuzzy handcuffs."

"And chocolate body paint." Glenn interjected.

Harry told Glenn to stand in front of the full-length mirror and picked up the jar of chocolate paint and a brush. He dipped into the paint and brushed it across Glenn's chest.

"Ooo." Glenn shivered. "That's cold, Harry."

"Sorry, hold on." Harry put the jar into the microwave in the kitchen just long enough to warm it up.

"Is this better?" He painted around Glenn's nipples.

"Yeah, that's good." Glenn felt his cock twitch to life.

Harry saw the growing bulge in Glenn's tight underwear but fought to ignore it for the time being, determined to do the job. "Okay, now, Glenn, I need you to get on the mattress and on your knees."

Glenn followed Harry's directions while Harry busied himself with setting up the lighting he needed. Then Harry went over to the camera to check the frame, gave Glenn directions on how to pose, and started taking the shots. He gave Glenn the jar and the brush. "I need you to paint yourself with the chocolate."

"Wouldn't this work better with a partner doing it?" Glenn looked up from beneath his thick eyelashes and gave Harry a seductive look.

Harry swallowed a few times; he felt his cock swelling in his jeans. But he was determined to finish this shoot. "Later. Right now I want you to make love to the camera. Play with the chocolate."

He watched as Glenn took his finger, dipped it in the chocolate, and ran his finger all over his chest, down to his stomach, and up again. He drew circles around his nipples, brought his finger to his lips, stuck his tongue out, and licked the tip of his finger. Then he began to suck on his finger like it was a cock. All the while Harry was furiously clicking away on his camera.

Glenn arched his back and rubbed chocolate all over his belly. He gave the camera a hot, smoldering look. He could hear Harry panting and could see the bulge in the front of Harry's jeans. Harry finally put the camera down on the table. "Done," he said as he wiped the sweat from his brow.

"You sure?" Glenn gave him an evil look and took his briefs off. Harry watched helplessly as Glenn took some chocolate and smeared some on his ass and rock-hard cock.

Harry's mouth dropped open, and then he picked up the camera and clicked more shots of a naked, chocolate Glenn. He put the camera down and pulled his shirt off, his jeans soon joining the clothes on the floor. As his underwear fell onto the pile, he went over to Glenn and joined him on the mattress. Harry licked his way down Glenn's body and sucked on the tip of Glenn's cock.

"Harry." Glenn squirmed.

"I love chocolate." Harry licked the tip of the shaft and was rewarded with white pearl drops. "And I also like the cream filling." He gently squeezed Glenn's balls, and Glenn couldn't hold on any longer; he filled Harry's mouth.

"Mm." Harry crawled up Glenn's body and kissed him, running his fingers through his hair.

"You like it?" Glenn asked.

"Yeah, that was real good."

"I'm not done." Glenn grabbed the chocolate body paint and the brush and painted Harry's nose and lips and throat before starting to lick it all off. He painted a circle around Harry's belly button and used his skillful tongue to clean him. Then Glenn covered Harry's cock with chocolate, straddled his hips, moved over the large cock, and slid it into his tight opening.

"Glenn," Harry whispered as he watched Glenn bounce up and down. He felt himself getting close. "Glenn, I'm gonna, I'm gonna... uh!"

Glenn felt the warm cream fill him, and he collapsed on top of Harry. They kissed each other.

"You want to get cleaned up?" Glenn asked as they cuddled in each other's arms.

"Not right now. I'm still enjoying my favorite addiction."

"No, my new addiction," Harry admitted.

"What's that?"

"Chocolate-covered Glenn."

silver Flash #32

It's time to Flash.   This week's prompts:

"Well, I don't know about you, but I like to know what I'm getting into."

Use the following elements in your story: key, paper, raw meat

the links to my fellow flashers appear at the end of my story

“Oh come on, I can’t believe this!”  Ben stood in front of the real estate office, his hands searching through his pockets for the key that would let him inside.  But to no avail, he was the first one to arrive that morning and, as was custom, the first one there was not only supposed to open up but get the coffee ready for the rest of the office to fuel up on.   Ben could kick himself for keeping the office key on a separate keychain.

‘It’s all Tom’s fault.’ He thought, he just ‘had’ to join him in the shower this morning, that man could make him lose all track of time. Ben couldn’t stay mad at the man who he loved to bits and who rocked his world earlier.

The ring tone on his phone interrupted his thoughts.

“Ben, it’s Natalie,” The voice on the other end made Ben roll his eyes, she was a pain in the ass at the best of times, but she was one of their best agents so getting rid of her just wasn’t going to happen.  “Listen, could you be a dear and read me the price list on the house in Millersville?  I completely forgot the paper on my desk last night.”

“I’d love to oblige you, Nat, but I’m currently standing in front of the office.”

“Outside? Why?”

“I left my keys at home.”

“Oh for crying out loud!”

“Relax and take a chill pill, Nat.  I’m going to run home and get it and I’ll call you back once I get inside the office.”

A few minutes later he found himself parking in the driveway and getting out of the car and walking up the familiar path to the front door.

Tom’s car was gone; Ben knew he had the day off so he was probably out running errands.   He said he had a surprise for him when he got home so knowing Tom it could be anything.

He strolled into the kitchen and spotted the key where he had left it.  “Damn Tom,” he said to the empty room, “Why did you leave the raw meat out on the counter?”  He shook his head, he’d told Tom to put it in the fridge to thaw.   So he moved the meat to the fridge and picked up his key, just as he was about to leave the house the phone rang.   He noticed it was their voice mail,  they had it set up so that if there was a message and they didn’t pick it up the service would call to let you know there was a message waiting to be heard.

Ben picked up the call  “This is the voice messenger system, you have one unheard message.  To hear your unheard message please press seven on your keypad.”   Ben did as the automated woman’s voice asked.

“First unheard message: ‘BEEP’   Uh hi Tom, this is Larry.  I got your message, I can come over in about an hour.  You’re sure your partner is going to be at work?  See you in a bit.”

“To delete this message press….” The automated voice came back on, but by that time Ben was too numb to hear her.  He just hung up the phone and leaned back against the wall.  “Who the hell is Larry and why is Tom having him come over here while I am at work?”  He said to empty house.   He knew he really should get back to work but how could he now that there was a possibility that Tom might be cheating on him.

“No it just can’t be!”   Ben decided to move his car around the block and wait for Tom to get back home.

Hot Summer Days volume one is now available (free)

This is volume 1.  My story "Lawn Mower Boys"  will appear in Volume 2.  I have read these stories and they are ALL worth reading.  You'll have to join Goodreads to DL this anthology but it is well worth it

A Special Edition Hot Summer Days (HSD) Anthology is NOW available!!!

This special edition is a compilation featuring 27 participating authors that will be attending GayRomLit in New Orleans this October. (33 days away)

We conceived this idea to help us get our feet wet with pulling the full 4 volume anthology together. We expected it to have just a handful of stories, but after we got started we realized it was going to be as large as the other 4 volumes!

I hope you enjoy this edition. Whether you are attending the gathering or not - what a great way to introduce yourself to some of the works of our members!

This is a special edition. The four editions, compiling all the stories in order of their release will be ready in the near future and will include the stories in this special edition, peppered throughout depending on their release date as well.

If you are interested in the line up for each volume, the list will follow at the end of this message.

Six Sentence Sunday

This week I decided to feature my latest book "Somebody to Love"

The two men were breathing hard from the exertion. Both stopped moving suddenly and gazed deeply into each other’s eyes. Sam tentatively reached out to touch Matt’s face, like he was studying it, then moved his hand to the back of Matt’s head and pulled him down for a kiss. Matt showed Sam he was more than interested by wrapping his arms around Sam’s neck and deepening the kiss.

When they broke apart, Matt ran his fingers through Sam’s hair. “Come on.” Matt got up, shut off the TV and offered Sam his hand and led them to the bedroom.

Flash 31: Dressed to the nines

It's that time of the week again,  time to Flash.    I used to write about other couples but Ben and Tom seemed to get under my skin.  I am thinking of turning their situation into a full blown story.   I just wish I didn't have a severe writer's block,  it's frustrating me to no end!

Anyway I seem to be able to still do these short pieces so that's something.    Here are Ben and Tom and just a warning it gets HOT!

the links to my fellow flashers appear at the end of my story

thanks for reading and commenting,  I love feedback.

Dressed to the Nines-by Lily Sawyer

This week's prompts:  “Which one do you like better?”   and  using the three words:  “Star, Speaker and candle.”

Every year the firefighters had a charity ball.  This year it was going to be held at the convention center in Philly.

Tom looked forward to this every year, but he knew his other half wasn’t crazy about being in large crowds, he said they made him uncomfortable.

That’s why it came as a complete surprise when he spotted Ben in the walk in closet.

“I thought you came out of the closet years ago?”  He joked; the tension that was oozing out of Ben’s pores filled the room.

“Oh, Tom, I need your help.”

Tom noticed several pieces of clothing strewn onto their bed as if the closet had practically thrown up all over it.

“What are you going on about?”

“This is all your fault,” Ben’s index finger poked his chest for added effect. “I’ve been wracking my brain all day trying to find a thing to wear.”

Tom didn’t know how long he stood there with his mouth hanging open, but Ben’s accusation sobered him up.

“So, which one do you like better?”  Ben showed him two outfits, one was a khaki pants with a green shirt and the other was black from head to toe.

“You can’t go wrong with basic black, sweetheart.”  It was time to defuse the situation so he wrapped his arms around Ben.

“The black will match my dress uniform.”

“Really?”  Ben dropped the clothes on the bed.

“Yeah, my dark blue uniform and your black sexy outfit, we’re a matched set.”

“You think I’m sexy?”  Ben had turned around in his arms and was now staring at Tom, Ben’s smoldering eyes dark passion-filled eyes made Tom’s cock twitch.

“What do think?”   Tom’s breath hitched when he felt Ben’s hand touching his crotch.

“I think we don’t have much time for any hanky panky.”   Ben’s smile faded just a wee bit when he glanced at the clock on the night stand next to the bed.

“There is always a little time for some hanky.”  Tom kissed the base of Ben’s neck.  The slightly shorter man squirmed in his embrace.  “And panky.”   His lips moved to capture Ben’s.   Suddenly time and space had no meaning and the two men fell back onto the pile of clothes on the bed.

“Mm,” Their clothes somehow fell off their bodies and onto the floor, the clean clothes were pushed off the bed by their squirming bodies.   A pair of hungry lips were attacking Tom; he knew if he didn’t hurry this was going to end in a less than satisfying way.   He reached out his hand and found the drawer where they kept the lube, after several years together they felt it was safe to ride bare back.    Ben extricated the tube from his hand and slicked Tom’s cock, crawled on top of him and seated himself on the large cock.

“Oh yeah, I’ve been wanting to slide down a fireman’s pole, it’s been too long.”

“Yeah, I remember it like it was yesterday,” Tom’s voice hitched as Ben bounced up and down on his cock.   “Oh wait it was yesterday.”   Tom remembered how Ben had cornered him in their kitchen and they made love on the top of the granite counter island.

“Shut up and make love to me.”  Ben increased his speed until Tom thought his cock was going to fall off.  Instead his balls pulled up and thought he let loose the dogs of war, or maybe love.  He couldn’t think anymore or wanted to try at this point.  All he knew was he was on top of a mountain and his lover was right there with him.  Ben collapsed on top of him.   Tom’s cock slowly pulled out of his lover.

After what felt like forever, Tom glanced over at their clock.  “We’d better get ready.”

“Just don’t forget we’ll be coming back here for some dessert.”

“Dessert?”  Tom’s brain still wasn’t functioning at full capacity; he was still coming down from that mountain.

“Yeah, round two.”

Tom smiled as he watched Ben slip into the black outfit and he took out his dress uniform and felt like the luckiest guy in the world.

Welcome Guest Blogger Sharita Lira

please welcome my guest blogger Sharita Lira

Please sit back, relax enjoy the man servants who are here to serve you and tell us about yourself

Author Sharita Lira

How did you get your start writing gay fiction and/or erotica?  Please tell us about your background and early beginnings.

Well, it all started with writing fanfiction. I’d read a lot of it from different fandoms, mostly the music fandom of Duran Duran and Depeche Mode. I tried my hand at it and loved putting stories together of two men in love. I received great feedback and once I felt confident enough to submit, I finally did begin to create original stories.

If you had to choose, which one of your novels do you like the most and why?

Well, I only have five novellas out now, two of which are sole author, the others are short stories. I suppose of the published one my novella, Binding Justice would be the fave because I challenged myself to write about a completely new subject and subgenre. I’m proud of how I integrated my own inexperience into the character.

When you start a new story do you begin with a character or plot?

The plot most of the time even though sometimes, the characters will speak to me through a photograph of a model at times.

Tell us about yourself, what got you interested in writing?

I’m a married mom of two writing under three penames. I’ve been writing since I was in my mid teens, mostly romance some poetry. What I love about writing is creating new tales and worlds where my characters and I would feel comfortable. A lot of the situations I base on my own experiences or things I can relate to.

Tell us about your latest or upcoming story.

Well I have several coming. The biggest one with a date will be My Lieutenant written under my female pseudonym, BLMorticia. She’s my original muse, usually writes stories that raise eyebrows but this one is sweet. An interracial gay novella about a young man who meets his lover after his apartment was broken into by his ex. BL likes to write about the agony and tension in her characters and for Nathan Ellerby, he is having a hard time accepting that he might be in love with someone and ready to commit.

If you had to choose a favorite character from one of your stories who would it be and why?

It changes day by day but right now it’s the character I just created from my recently submitted novella, The Professor. His name is Parker Macaulay. He’s sexy, smart, a real man who is willing to take a step back in order to help others. In the story, he becomes close with one of his students and because he’s fallen for him, he makes the decision to shed a big part of his personality to make his lover comfortable.

What is your idea of how to spend romantic time with your significant other?

Romantic time could be a nice night out for dinner and a movie or quiet time at home, having a drink or two watching tv or a Netflix movie. Maybe even playing a game together or having conversation in bed. The key is alone and not with the kids around. *laughs*

If you write gay romance or erotica, just how descriptive are you in their sex scenes?

It really depends on the story. In a lot of them, I’m very descriptive. I keep them to a minimum as far as the amount of sex scenes to bring out more of a story but when I write the scene itself I try to bring out every emotion and all he sensuality I possibly can from beginning to end. I want the reader to feel what my characters feel.

You’re marooned on a small island with one person and one item of your choice—who is that person and what item do you have?

*laughs* I guess I better say my husband and providing that we have all the necessities like food and water, a radio would be great since I can’t live without music.

Binding Justice by Michael Mandrake

Blurb: Binding Justice, the only gay fiction romance story in the anthology is a tale of an older man seeking the assistance after losing his wife to cancer. Throughout his life, he has had the desire to be with another man but due to his strict upbringing as well as his time in the armed forces, Sire Jacobs has suppressed those feelings. At the insistence of his gay friend Gabe, he decides to attend a party to find someone of home he can bring this side out. Enter in Jarvis Densley, a twenty three year old gay male, shunned by his parents and looking for someone to mentor and love him.

Apparently, both have similar interests but will Sire's darker desire be what keeps them apart?

Excerpt PG

Sire felt like an old man amongst so many young people. It had been years since he’d been in a place like this.
I’m only here in support of Gabriel.
He reminded himself of that several times. Sire was pretty sure no one coming through that door would catch his eye. By the looks of things he was spot on since the clientele looked to be exactly what he wasn’t looking for.
Did he even know what kind of man he wanted? A young, strong, and pretty one. Not a drag queen or flamer.
It amazed him he was going over this in his mind as he downed the last of his scotch while still taking in the sights. He never thought he’d get the chance to experience another man.
Still gazing, he noticed Gabe pulling someone’s hand through a crowd. When Sire locked eyes with Gabe, his friend nodded with a smile as the young man with him was turned to the right. After a couple of seconds, Sire got a glimpse of the guy. He was dressed in leather, looking very appealing even from a distance.
Sire sat up on his stool, angling his neck trying to get a good look as the twosome threaded through small throngs of people. Before he knew it, Gabe made his way over with a tall, lanky, gentleman with burgundy hair, brown eyes, chiseled features, and a wry smile. He looked a lot like one of the men on the flyer Gabe had earlier; almost the same outfit, his makeup perfect.
His look was just what Sire wanted.
Gabe grinned, “Sire, this is Jarvis Densley. I been talking with him a few minutes about his choice of clothing. He looks a lot like you asked about, right?”
Sire drew up his lips, stroking his beard.
Jarvis Densley, ugly name for a beautiful man.
